Cayce Mayor Elise Partin welcomed guests as the Cayce Fire Department held a Washdown Ceremony for its new ladder fire truck, Friday. The ceremony took place at the Cayce Fire Department in front of Cayce City Hall off of 12th Street.

“We are replacing an existing ladder truck so that is is safer for our firefighters and the community we serve,” said Cayce Fire Chief Steven Bullard. “With this new tower ladder, we are better equipped to handle a variety of emergencies and meet the needs of our growing population and infrastructure.”

Getting the new ladder truck was a three-plus year project

“As a department, we’re grateful to have such a supportive community, council and city leaders to make this a reality,” Bullard said.
