At approximately 7 a.m Thursday, the Cayce Department of Public Safety responded to a report of a male who was deceased near Exit 116 on Interstate 26, westbound.

Cayce DPS officers asked that drivers please take extra caution in the area and find an alternate route if possible.

The Lexington County Coroner’s Office is assisting the Cayce Department of Public Safety in this ongoing investigation.
