
Cayce City Councilman Phil Carter selected to serve as Cayce’s Mayor Pro Tem
Longtime Cayce advocate and Cayce City Councilman Phil Carter has been unanimously selected to serve as Cayce’s next Mayor Pro Tem. The vote to choose Carter was Thursday evening.

Cayce City Councilman Phil Carter, is a lifelong resident of our City. Born in Cayce, Councilman Carter served as a Trustee for 8 years on the Lexington School District Two Board.
When he isn’t selling homes for ERA Wilder in the Lexington Office, he remains active with Airport High School. As an Airport High School graduate, Councilman Carter was President of the Airport High School “Eagle” Club, Airport High School “School Improvement Council” and was inducted into the Airport High “Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame” in 2013.
As a family man, Councilman Carter has been married for 37 years and has two sons, Jeremy and Bret. As a Councilman his goal is to focus on Cayce communities by working to improve the condition of properties and decaying infrastructure. He also is excited that the City is an up-and-coming community for seniors, students, young families and job seekers.
