The vote count from Tuesday’s Special Election for Cayce City Council, District 1 is within one percent of the margin of error and have yet to be certified by Lexington County Registrations and Elections.

The three candidates are Tiffany Aull, Tim James and Megan Lightle.

Tara S. Almond resigned from council. Her term is set to expire in November 2021.

According to a post by the City of Cayce, in the coming days, there will be an official review process to determine the outcome of this election.
The city of Cayce will announce it when the election results are certified.
