The City of West Columbia Public Works Department has been busy upgrading some of the vegetation. In some cases crews are planting new greenery. At other times they are tending to beautification projects that were started last year or earlier.  

Mike Bollinger  of the West Columbia Public Works Department was the winner if the Midlands Region Backhoe Rodeo. The competition was held Friday in Columbia.
