Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon has placed four deputies on paid administrative leave while SLED investigates the incident on I-26, in which an armed assailant was shot and killed. Placing deputies on administrative leave, like the SLED investigation, is standard procedure when there is an officer-involved shooting.
