Capt. John Norman recognized by City of West Columbia, SC Senate upon retirement

Capt. John Norman, of the West Columbia Police Department, is retiring. At the city council meeting, Tuesday, he was recognized with a resolution from the city, presented by Tem Miles, Mayor Pro-Tem. State Sen. Nikki Setzler also presented Norman with a resolution from the state Senate.

Rebecca “Fannie” Dawkins turning 102, recognized by City of West Columbia with resolution

Rebecca “Fannie” Dawkins was recognized at the West Columbia City Council meeting Tuesday. She turns 102 Thursday. Dawkins is the eldest resident of West Columbia.
