The West Columbia Fire Department, Engine 2, is on the scene of a two-alarm commercial structure fire in the 4400 block of St. Andrews Road. The WCFD reported the fire before 8:30 a.m. Thursday. The West Columbia crew is providing assistance to the Irmo Fire District.

The wait is over. The West Columbia Riverwalk Park and Amphitheater, 109 Alexander Road, West Columbia is open to the public after being closed due to flooding. The City of West Columbia announced that the Riverwalk is reopened, Thursday morning. Please avoid any areas that are coned off.
