The storm that hot West Columbia early Monday morning left trees down and lots of water. A tree fell across Morningside Drive and branches were strewn on Victoria Street, just off Sunset Boulevard. Half of Arehart Street, at the Sunset Boulevard intersection, was flooded.

Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the individual found deceased following a residential structure fire. The fire was in Pelion in the 500 block of Tindal Road.
