State Sen. Nikki Setzler of West Columbia wins reelection Tuesday to state Senate Seat Dist. 26. Setzler, a Democrat, received 54.42% of the vote. He received 23,364 votes. Smith received 45.49% of the vote or 19,533 votes. There were 42,935 votes cast in the race. Results posted by the SC Election Commission.

US Sen. Senator Lindsey Graham defeated Democrat Jaime Harrison, Tuesday. Graham, a Republican was reelected to a fourth term. When the race was called, Graham had a lead over Harrison of 55 to 43 percent. Graham reportedly spent as much as $100 million in his campaign against Graham.
