Town of Lexington holds Veterans Day Parade, Sunday

The County of Lexington Veterans Parade was held Sunday down Main Street, Lexington. Crowds enjoyed marching bands and veterans organization on a beautiful sunny, afternoon. The Patrol Division Commander, Lieutenant Bledsoe (pictured) was the lead vehicle. The parade is an effort to support the many Veterans who honorably served our country.

Brookland-Cayce, Gray Cheer Teams take first place, to compete again Monday night

The Brookland-Cayce Varsity Cheer Team scored first place in the 3A division of the Falcon Invitational at AC Flora High School, Saturday. Gray Collegiate Academy took first place in the 2A division. Body of 36-year-old man who went missing on Lake Murray is recovered

The body of 36-year-old David Neil Grantham has been recovered from Lake Murray, according to Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher. Grantham went missing on Lake Murray on Oct. 26, His body was recovered Saturday. Foul play is not suspected.
