Republican Challenger Carlisle Kennedy defeated Incumbent Sen. Katrina Shealy in the GOP Primary run-off, Tuesday for State Senate Seat 23 in Lexington County.
Jason Guerry defeated Chris Smith in the GOP Primary for Senate Dist. 26. Guerry will face Russell Ott in the Nov. General election.
District 26 is the seat that has been held by Sen. Nikki Setzler, who did not run in 2024, since 1976.
