Lexington Police reported that a car ran into a building at 301 North Lake Drive, in Lexington, around 5 a.m. Wednesday. The crash resulted in the temporary closing of North Lake Drive and North Church Street. Police said the crash involved an intoxicated driver who was transported from the scene by EMS and will be charged with DUI.

There was a detour around the area for about an hour while first responders were on the scene. All streets were reopened before 6 a.m., according to police. (LPD Photos)
