County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the individual who was killed in the two-vehicle accident at approximately 3:15 p.m. on Sunday, (May 22.)

The crash took place in the 200 block of Gardners Terrace Road in West Columbia. The woman killed was  identified as Natasha Lindell Smith, 37, of Columbia.

Smith was pronounced dead at the scene from the injuries she sustained in the accident.  An autopsy will be performed on Tuesday.  Ms. Smith’s daughter, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.  Both occupants of the second vehicle were also transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.The accident remains under investigation by the Lexington County Coroner’s Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol
