
Candidate files for West Columbia City Council District 5 Seat
Kiaun Moore, a recent graduate of Morris College, has officially announced his candidacy for West Columbia City Council, representing District 5.
Moore, who earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, is known for his dedication to community service, strong leadership skills, and passion for building a stronger, more connected West Columbia, according to a press release. During his time at Morris College, he served as Senior Class Senator in the Student Government Association, working to amplify student voices and foster positive change.
“I’m running because I believe in the people of District 5 and the bright future we can create together,” Moore said. “It’s time to focus on smart growth, improved community resources, and a vision that includes everyone’s voice at the table.”
Moore’s said his platform focuses on increasing community engagement, supporting small businesses, enhancing public safety, and ensuring that every resident feels heard and represented.
As a lifelong advocate for teamwork and progress, Moore said he is eager to bring fresh perspectives and committed leadership to the City Council.
