Byron Snellgrove, retiring Cayce Department of Public Safety Chief, receives Order of the Palmetto

Byron Snellgrove, retiring Cayce Department of Public Safety Chief, received the Order of the Palmetto for his 37 years of service to law enforcement in the state at the Cayce City Council meeting, Tuesday.

State Sen. Nikki Setzler and Rep. Micah Caskey presented the Order of the Palmetto to Snellgrove. It is signed by Gov. Henry McMaster and is South Carolina’s highest honor. The Order of the Palmetto is presented in recognition of achievement, service and leadership in the state.

Executive Director of the South Carolina Law Enforcement Officers’ Association, JJ Jones attended the presentation, too.
Pamme Eades, President of the Cayce Public Safety Foundation, also expressed appreciation to Snellgrove for his leadership.
