A pharmacy employee confirmed Tuesday that the Walmart Supercenter at 1326 Bush River Rd. is closing. The Walmart store, just off of I-26, has a garden center, auto service and grocery store. It’s an option for West Columbia shoppers in addition to the Walmart Supercenter on Augusta Road.

The pharmacy will switch prescriptions on Jan. 22. The store will close Feb. 5.

For pharmacy customers at the Bush River Road location, prescriptions if not otherwise arranged, will be moved to the Harbison Walmart. The pharmacy employee also said the Sam’s store in Harbison is an option for pharmacy customers who are now using the Bush River Road Walmart Pharmacy.
