Busbee students win in national dance competition

BCAA’s Small Group Number, Seven Years, won Gold and Third Place Overall in its division. The dancers were Paw Der, Christina Brown, Kara Drawdy, Madison Northcutt, Sierra McKnight, Aledya Alonso, Kelsy White, and DJ Weaver.

Students from ​Busbee Creative Arts Academy won awards in dance competition earlier this month.

​Directed and choreographed by Jenna Oliver, ​Busbee Creative Arts Academy Dance Teacher (BCAA) Eight Grade Dancers from BCAA, competed at the Platinum National Dance Competition ​held at Lexington High School on Saturday, April 30, and Sunday, May 1.

Lexington Two was the only public school district represented in the competition.

BCAA’s Hip-Hop Duet, Justin Smith and Ibin Williams, won Gold.
