Airport QB Brett Burnett had a good evening in the Eagles’ 42-37 win over Brookland-Cayce Friday. The 6′-2″ 195-pound junior was 18-for-26 in his passing game. And at least four of the incompletions were on target, but the passes were dropped by Eagle receivers. Burnett had one interception, but his passing was a key factor in the win. reelys-ad

On Saturday, Airport Assistant Coach Trey Wallace said the coaching staff was pleased Burnett’s play. He also said RB Jonathan Earl and LB Zach Feaster had a good game versus BC.

“We still have a lot of work to do,” Wallace said.

He said the Eagles turned the ball over too much and those mistakes would have to be corrected.

Airport plays on the road at Dreher, Friday.
