West Columbia City Council meets Tuesday evening. On council’s agenda is the rezoning of 54 acres known as the Buff Property at the corner of Sunset Boulevard and Henbet Drive.

The development is still in the planning stages, but according to information presented to council, development of the property could include bed and breakfasts, art galleries, hotels, restaurants, upper-story dwelling units, beer gardens, restaurants and day care facilities.

Prohibited would be: Sexually oriented businesses; Massage Parlors; Check cashing or title loan businesses; and vape lounges.
