Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the individual who died as a result of a stabbing that occurred in the 300 block of Wharfsdale Road in the Town of Irmo shortly after 9 p.m., Saturday.

According to Fisher, Mr. Andrew Wardlaw Wier, 33, of Columbia was pronounced dead at the scene due to being stabbed by his brother.  

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division as well as the Irmo Police Department continue to investigate the incident.
