The S.C. Basketball Coaches Association has named Brookland-Cayce’s Lloyd Hemming picked as the 3A Boys State Player-of-the-Year.

BC Basketball Coach Robert Wells said recently- that Hemming is a big part of the Bearcat offense – and integral to BC winning the Region 5 Championship this season. He said Hemming has several offers to play basketball in college. Hemming is a high-achieving student in the classroom too. Wells said he has excellent grades.

Brookland-Cayce is a No. 1 Seed in the State High School basketball playoffs. The Bearcats defeated Bluffton Tuesday to advance the next round of the playoffs.
