Brookland-Cayce Quarterback Tanner Staton committed to play football for Elon University, Tuesday. He is a rising high school senior and received a full scholarship offer from Elon. Elon is in North Carolina.

“He went up to Elon for a camp on June 23,” said Chris Staton, Tanner’s father. “He had a good day at the camp.” He also said his son loved the Elon campus.

Tanner had eight scholarship offers from Division 2 schools. Elon was his first Division 1 offer, according to his father.
“He can relax now and concentrate on his senior season at BC,” Chris Staton said.

Elon is a member of the Colonial Athletic Association. Former Elon quarterback Davis Cheek signed to play for the Carolina Panthers in 2022.
