A Brookland-Cayce High School football player has declared his intent to play at the collegiate level.

Senior athlete Tyree Johnson participated in a ceremony Thursday, signing to play football with Johnson C. Smith University in Charlotte. 

Coaches, teammates, fellow students, family members, and faculty and staff attended Thursday’s event, which was held in the school’s Hall of Fame Room.
