Brookland-Cayce High School celebrates Hispanic Heritage

Brookland-Cayce High School’s annual Hispanic Heritage Celebration lunch has become a favorite tradition, and this year’s event did not disappoint.  The celebration, held during all lunch periods on Friday, October 7, included several food trucks offering Hispanic dishes, music, and dancing. This year’s national Hispanic Heritage Month observance runs September 15-October 15.

  • International Club officers Laura Rubio, president (right), and Gladys Mejia, vice president, selected the music for Brookland-Cayce’s celebration. The two are involved in planning the Hispanic Heritage Celebration and several other events throughout the year.
