The State newspaper’s Lou Bezjak is reporting that Brookland-Cayce Head Football Coach and Athletic Director Rusty Charpia will not coach the Bearcats in 2025.

The State said Charpia applied to return as coach for the 2025 season. A replacement is expected to be announced.

Charpia was hired at BC in 2011. He won four Region titles in that time and had two 10-win seasons. He is the Bearcats’ winningest coach. Charpia won 92 games at BC and was 4-7 in 2024.
