Brookland-Cayce grads, Brayden Cullum, Cole Caccavaro to play New Brookland Tavern, Sunday
From Terri Towle – Steam Killed Lula is a drum and guitar duo featuring Cole Caccavaro and Brayden Cullum. The Brookland-Cayce grads started playing together seven years ago and haven’t looked back.
With several albums already under their belt, the new EP “The A Frame Tapes” debuts a new sound for SKL. Still remaining true to their original style, they are moving towards a tighter and more vintage studio sound. Listen to “The A Frame Tapes” and other releases @steamkilledlula on Spotify and Apple Music.
Drummer Cole Caccavaro grew up listening to a wide range of rock, blues, pop, rap and funk. The “A Frame Tapes”, their newest release, is inspired by a tape made by his Dad and friends 30 years ago at Unity College, Unity, Maine. Caccavaro runs a studio outside Nashville, TN, where he produces for SKL and other artists. Caccavaro and Cullum have great synergy – seeing them play is like watching two friends complete each other’s sentences.
Front man Brayden Cullum sings and plays guitar with a tone well beyond his years. Inspired by his grandfather, Cullum picked up the guitar at five years old and hasn’t put it down since. Influenced by artists as diverse as the Beach Boys, the Smiths, and Wilco, he never disappoints. His high energy and true love for playing are infectious and make SKL a great band to watch live.
The best way to see these guys is still LIVE! They always bring a crowd!
