The night was filled with emotion for some- remembering such good times in their lives. Some hugged- wiping away tears, as they came face-to-face and realized the impact their mentors have made on them.

Five new members of the Brookland-Cayce High School Athletic Hall of Fame were inducted Friday night. The new members were introduced during half-time of the Brookland-Cayce vs. Strom Thurmond football game at Bearcat Stadium in Cayce. The Bearcats won the game, 28-6.

All inductees were present, except for Eddie Jeffcoat, who is deceased. Several members of his family stood in his place.

The new Inductees are:

June Frick Roof, Class of 1951, Basketball

Eddie Jeffcoat, Class of 1956, Football/Baseball

Coach John Checkovich, Wrestling and Volleyball Coach, 1969-2001

Coach John Daye, Athletic Director/Football Coach, 1979-1987

Russell Triplett, Class of 1999, Football/Baseball

There was reception honoring the inductees in the lobby of the BC gymnasium before the football game.
