Brookland-Cayce and Gray Collegiate play football at home Friday night in games with State Championship implications
Brookland-Cayce (11-2) is home vs. Camden (10-3) at 7:30 p.m. Friday night for a high school football playoff game. It’s for the 3A Lower State Championship.
In the playoffs, BC has wins: over Lake City; 42-20 over Philip Simmons, 34-14; and a 53-27 win over Crestwood.
If BC wins Friday night, the team will face the winner of the Daniel vs Belton-Honea Path game at 7 p.m. Dec. 2 in the Class 3A state championship at Oliver C. Dawson Stadium in Orangeburg.
Gray Collegiate (13-3) is home, hosting Abbeville (12-1) at 7:30 p.m. Friday night for a high school football playoff game. It’s for the 2A Upper State Championship.
In the playoffs Gray has wins over wins: over Pelion, 62-0; over Chesnee, 62-14; and a 35-28 win over Strom Thurmond.
If Gray wins Friday, the team will meet the winner of the Oceanside Collegiate vs Hampton County game in the State Championship at 7 p.m. Nov. 30 in the Class 2A state championship game at Oliver C. Dawson Stadium in Orangeburg.
