Bricks and Stones Pizza is closing, effective March 19 – bought out by neighboring grocery store
Bricks and Stones Pizza is closing, effective March 19. It’s in the Woodberry Plaza at 3234 Augusta Road in West Columbia. That’s the Big Lots shopping center.
The message below appeared on the Bricks and Stone Facebook page Thursday afternoon.
“As some of you already know Bricks and Stones Pizza Company will be closing our doors effective March 19th. Thank you to everyone for the love and support you have shown us for the past 2 1/2 years we can’t thank you enough. As we go through the next 2 weeks please be patient with us as we will be trying to get rid of our t-shirts,hats, food stock, beer, and wine. We will miss you all, Bob, Terry, and Cheri“
More than 130 Facebook comments of support had been posted for Bricks and Stones by 8:30 p.m. Thursday. Bob Close, Bricks and Stone owner, said the Mexican cuisine grocery store beside Bricks and Stone “made us an (offer) to buy us out so they could take over the space. We agreed to do that, with all the employee issues and everything it just makes good sense to take the opportunity to get out. We will miss y’all.”
