Lexington County Sheriff’s Department deputies responded to a call regarding boat ramp on the Irmo side of the Lake Murray Dam about 6:40 Tuesday morning.

A boat that was adrift was rported near the dock. Just before 1 p.m. a male body was recovered in connection with this case.

The LCSD dive team was on the scene and searched the area near the boat, before the body was found. South Carolina Department of Natural Resources agents were also on scene assisting.

Responders have cleared the scene. The boat ramp has reopened.
