The West Columbia Fire Department, Lexington County Fire Services, and City of Cayce Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire at the 700 block of Westside Drive at approximately 6:40 a.m., Monday

WCFD units found smoke coming from the structure upon arrival. One occupant was located inside the home and was removed from the structure by fire crews. The occupant was transported by Lexington County EMS to a local hospital.

The fire was extinguished and brought under control approximately 10 minutes after units arrived on scene. WCFD photo.
