Beth Branham sworn in as National School Boards Association president

ElizaBeth “Beth” Dickerson Branham was sworn in as president of the National School Boards Association over the weekend. She is the first South Carolinian to hold the office.
The swearing in was held in Philadelphia. Branham is a West Columbia attorney, who began her career teaching English at Brookland-Cayce High School. Members of her family joined her for her big day. Sen. Nikki Setzler and Rep. Micah Caskey presented Branham with resolutions from the SC Senate and the House in honor of her being elected president of the NSBA.
The NSBA advocates for public education and represents more than 90,000 local school board members across the United States.
