Batesburg man charged with sexual conduct with minor
A Batesburg man could face up to 30 years in prison if convicted of two charges of criminal sexual conduct with a child. The charges were announced in a press release from Adam Myrick, of the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department.
According to arrest warrants, Cory Douglas Warren, 21, committed two sexual acts with a minor victim while at a Gaston home in January.
“Detectives have gathered statements and conducted interviews for more than five weeks as part of this investigation,” Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon said. “The defendant was arrested without incident (Wednesday) night after an interview with our investigators.”
Warren is being held at the Lexington County Detention Center while he awaits a bond hearing.
