The West Columbia Police Department is assisting the West Columbia Fire Department in the 1900 Block of Augusta Road (near Red Oak.) Around 3:30 p.m. Thursday, The WCPD reported a fire and the the road is shut down completely. Traffic is being turned away and police are asking drivers find an alternate route. At 3:45 p.m. the West Columbia Fire Department reported the fire in the 1900 Block of Augusta Road was under control. (Photos by Melissa Sprouse-Browne)
