Athletes from Lexington School Districts 2 and 4 participate in Special Olympics Spring Games at Airport High School

Airport High School recently served as a host site for the Area 7 Spring Games of the South Carolina Special Olympics. About 250 athletes from Lexington School Districts Two and Four and Special Olympics for Life participated in the games, which ranged from track and field related activities to goal kicks, bocce ball, and more. Roughly 100 Airport students were among the event volunteers.

“It was a highlight of our year at Airport High to host these athletes. The smiles and energy were contagious and filled my heart with such joy,” said Principal Matt Schilit. “Hosting this event gave us the opportunity to put on a memorable day for all involved.” (Lexington 2-Dawn Kujawa- photos and press release)
