Asian-Americans/Pacific Islanders recognized on Business Day in West Columbia – Photo Gallery

The Asian -American/Pacific Islanders Business day was held at Mota Crosslinking on May 27. It was held at Mota Crosslinking Business Academy on 12 Street in West Columbia.

On that day, Resolutions were read from West Columbia Mayor Tem Miles and Gov. Henry McMaster recognized the impact of Asian-American/Pacific Islander businesses in West Columbia and in South Carolina.
Vanesa Mota of Mota Crosslining Business Academy presented awards to several Asian-American/Pacific Islander businesses.

Also speaking were: Mr. Jianyu Deng, president of the Chinese Association and Ms Junlan Li, cofounder of Asian-American Advancing Leadership.

Dr. Chaowei, president of Asian-American Advancing Leadership, read the proclamation from McMaster.

  • The Tea Pot was named Business of the Year
  • Pele Hunkin Tajalle was named Community Volunteer of the Year
  • Sangeeta Charpe was named Talented Business of the Year
  • Gina Castaneda was named Filipino Business of the Year
  • Amy Wong- Real Estate Agent- was named Business of the Year
  • Lin Wang received the Community Partnership Award
