
Appreciation event held for retiring Lexington Health CEO Tod Augsburger, incoming CEO Kirk Jenkins shares his vision – See the Photos
Several Midlands Chambers of Commerce brought together members of the Lexington Health Board of Directors, business leaders and elected officials to celebrate the LMC Leadership. The event was held to show appreciation for Tod Augsburger upon his retirement from the hospital system’s CEO position. It was held, Tuesday, in the Courtyard of Savage Craft Ale Works in West Columbia.

The event was led by Tim James, long time friend of Tod Augsburger and Greater C-WC Chamber President. Speakers included the Reverend Dr, Charles Jackson, Senator (Retired) Nikki Setzler, LMC Board Chair Randy Senn as well as a special presentation by Senator Russel Ott and Representative Micah Caskey. Comments and reflections were made by Tod Augsburger, who was joined by his wife, daughter and son-in-law. Additionally, Kirk Jenkins, the incoming CEO provided his vision and thanks for the faith of the community.
LMC Board members touted the exemplary service of Augsburger, specifically mentioning many of the achievements that LMC realized during his tenure as CEO. Augsburger, who is not known for enjoying the limelight, proclaimed his appreciation for a great staff who supported him, as well he spoke of his appreciation for Michael J. Biediger, who he succeeded; Mr. Biediger was also was also in attendance. Tim James commented “our community has and continues to be very fortunate to have excellent healthcare leadership, men who truly care and support one another.” James invited to the stage the 3 CEO’s who have led Lexington Medical for three of the five decades that Lexington Medical has been in existence.
The event emphasized the community and business support that Lexington Health has always provided. It was an opportunity for the leaders of Midlands businesses to show their appreciation for the excellent organization and leadership that Lexington Health possesses.
