Another Broken Egg Café coming to West Columbia in the 4West portion of the Brookland Development

Another Broken Egg Cafe will locate in the  4West complex being built at State and Meeting streets in West Columbia. The cafe will be in a 3,974 sq.-ft. space that is part of the Class A retail/restaurant portion of 4West. 4West is the final phase of the Brookland Project and it will also include luxury apartment homes.

Another Broken Egg Café is scheduled to open in the second quarter of 2023.

“The outdoor dining and bar for Another Broken Egg will create an ambiance on the plaza and future outdoor space with unobstructed views of the river and Columbia skyline,” Matt Mundy of Estates and Cos. stated in a press release. “There will be bustling public spaces with options for outdoor seating. The location is pedestrian friendly to the river, park amphitheater, local shopping, entertainment and numerous restaurants.”

There is also an Another Broken Egg on Devine Street in Columbia, in addition to locations in Greenville, Charleston and Mount Pleasant, as well as in other states.

“We are excited to continue to expand our brand in the Carolinas and specifically the Columbia area,” Jeff Sturgis, chief development officer for Another Broken Egg Café, stated “This café in West Columbia will be our third location in the Columbia market, after the successful opening of our first café in 2020 on Devine Street and our second location soon to open in Lexington. Projects like 4West are a great fit for our brand and customer and we look forward to a long, successful presence in West Columbia.”

“Our team is thrilled to announce a lease with Another Broken Egg at 4West, who will occupy the development’s prominent corner at State Street and Meeting Street,” Trinity Partners’ Roger Winn stated. “Their presence marks the addition of another attractive amenity to the West Columbia riverfront area and should only magnify the interest we’ve received in the remaining retail and creative office space.”

Trinity Partners represented Estates Inc. (Brookland manager) in the transaction. Another Broken Egg was represented by Tony Hanna with Carolinas Retail Partners.

In addition to the 256 luxury apartment homes of 4West, Phase Four of Brookland will contain more than 30,000 sq.-ft. of retail, restaurant, and office space located at the foot of the Gervais Street bridge. Another Broken Egg joins retail tenants Black Rooster, Gentlemen’s Quarters Barbershop, The Wrkt, Select Physical Therapy at the Brookland Project.
