
Airport wins the 4A State Baseball Championship with a big win over Seneca, Saturday night
Airport defeated Seneca 10-0, Saturday night to win the 4A Championship of the State Baseball Playoffs. Coached by Coach Casey Braswell, it is the Eagles’ first baseball championship in program history. See a replay of the game at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j6oe-PMzCz4
Airport scored 5 runs in the bottom of the fifth inning and 2 runs in the 3rd. The Eagles finished it off, scoring 3 runs in the bottom of the 6th. Pitcher Hunter Epps got the win. He pitched 6 innings, gave up 4 hits and no runs with 6 strikeouts and 1 walk. Epps also was 2-for-3 at the plate. Bryce Gillette was 2-for 4. Matt Perry, Landon Jeffcoat, Brayden Dunlap and Braden Gross also contributed key hits.
