Airport High School’s Travis Crocker named Lexington 2’s Chief Financial Officer
Lexington School District Two has named Travis Crocker as the new Chief Financial Officer for the district. Crocker’s appointment was approved during a special session of the Board of Trustees on March 4.
Crocker, the district’s current Director of Finance, succeeds Marty Rawls, who took a job in the same position in Lexington-Richland 5.
“As a product of Lexington Two schools, I am so excited about this new opportunity,” said Crocker, who graduated from Airport High School after attending R. Earle Davis Elementary School for Technology and Fulmer Middle School. “It’s great to be in a position to give back to the district that has provided me with the tools and resources for a successful career. I look forward to building on Lexington Two’s successes as well as my relationships both in the district and the community.”
Crocker joined Lexington Two in 2018 as Capital Projects Finance Coordinator. Prior to that, he served as Senior Deputy Auditor with the Lexington County Auditor’s Office, Senior Accountant with Lexington County Finance, and as an Auditor with the SC Office of the State Auditor. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration, with an emphasis in accounting, from the University of South Carolina-Aiken.
“I believe what Mr. Crocker brings to the position and district are consistency, ties to our community, and financial knowledge that is pertinent to our long-range goals,” said Lexington Two Superintendent Dr. Nicolas Wade. “I and others look forward to working with him to plan, communicate, and implement current and future plans.”
Lexington Two includes the communities of Cayce, West Columbia, Springdale, South Congaree and Pine Ridge.
