The University of South Carolina track team is billing it as a huge pickup.

Airport High School’s Jayla Jamison, a state champion, is going to run track and cross country for the Gamecocks.

The 2021 signee enters the collegiate ranks with some serious credentials. She is the two-time S.C. Gatorade Player-of-the-Year and three-time Athlete of the Year.

According to USC Jayla’s high school record includes:

• 11.56 in the 100 meters
• 23.19 in the 200 meters
• 54.92 in the 400 meters –
• 19-11 3/4 in the Long Jump –
