Airport High School wins 4A Lower State Baseball Championship, to play for a State Championship next week

Airport High School is the South Carolina 4A Lower State Baseball Champion. The Eagles defeated South Florence by a score of 9-2 Thursday night in Florence.

Airport will travel to play 4A Upper-State Champion Top-Seed Seneca on Tuesday.
Hunter Epps was the winning pitcher for the Eagles, Thursday night. He recorded 4 strikeouts, no walks and gave up 2 runs on 5 hits. Brice Gillette hit a Grand Slam and Landon Jeffcoat had 2 hits including a double.

Airport has won 7 straight games in the state baseball playoffs.
