Airport High School Baseball Coach Tim Perry has accepted a position on the staff of the Coastal Carolina University baseball team, according to The Sun News in Myrtle Beach.
Perry will be CCU’s director of player development. Perry’s job at Airport has been posted on the S.C. High School League website.
Perry’s first year at Airport was 2011-12. He has compiled a 165-96-2 record since. He also has two state championship appearances. Those were in in 2013 and 2018. Airport won four region championships and four district titles under Perry.
Many of his players moved on to play baseball at the college level. Perry also was an assistant football coach at Airport.
He played college baseball at Newberry.
