
Airport defeats Seneca in game one of the Class 4A State Baseball Championship Series
The Airport Eagles defeated Seneca, 4-3, Wednesday night, in game one of the Class 4A state championship series. The first game was played in Seneca. Game two of the best-of-three series will be played at 7 p.m., Friday, at Airport.
Cash Epps was the starting pitcher for the Eagles. He allowed one run on four hits in five innings. Hunter Epps came in to get the save. He also had two hits in the game. Airport also got RBI’s from Landon Jeffcoat, Braden Gross and Justin Sightler.
Airport took a 4-0 lead, scoring a run in the first, third, fifth and sixth innings. Seneca responded in the bottom of the sixth, scoring three runs.
