Airport, Brookland-Cayce Cheer teams compete in State Finals

Only 10 teams from each School Classification qualifies to attend the State High School Cheer competition. Airport and Brookland-Cayce were invited after qualifying.

The two schools competed in the SC High School League Cheer finals, Saturday. The competition was held at the Florence Civic Center.

Airport tied with Catawba Ridge for 5th place in Class 4A. AC Flora won the 4A State Championship. Brookland-Cayce placed 9th in Class 3A. Belton-Honea Path won the 3A State Title.

 Lexington edged Chapin for the 5A State Title. Lexington County teams  River Bluff and Dutch Fork finished in the top 5 in 5A, too.
