It was Homecoming for Airport, but Aiken jumped out to a 21-3 lead over the Eagles in the first half of a game played at Bob Mooneyhan Field.
The Eagles roared back and scored a TD, an extra point, and a 2-point conversion to make it 21-18 at the half.
Airport scored 12 points in the 3rd quarter to 7 for Aiken. And the Eagles held a 30-28 lead at the end of the third quarter.
But Aiken scored first in the fourth quarter, and got the 2-pt conversion for a 36-30 lead with 10 minutes left in the game.
Airport answered with a TD to go ahead 37-36. The Eagles tacked on a Field Goal to get the 40-36 win.
