From Monday through Friday it’s Spring Break. And the West Columbia Police Department was able to provide food boxes for 20 families over that period.
Families in need, that don’t receive a meal at school may not get enough to eat when school is out. Police officers conduct food drives, often at the BILO grocery store to help. Officers who patrol all neighborhoods in West Columbia know first-hand who is doing without, so they are able to help. This year the WCPD thanked all of those who donated, and U-Haul Moving and Storage for providing boxes to transport the food.
