West Columbia’s Flex plant to hire hundreds, job fair Friday
Flex, a global international design, engineering and manufacturing company with a facility near the Columbia Metropolitan Airport in West Columbia, wants to hire as many as 500 workers.
The jobs include: technicians, inspectors, engineers and shipping clerks.
The jobs will be on a contract basis, but full-time employment is possible based on job performance, according to Kristi Jenkins of Aerotek.
Aerotek is a recruiting service. Aerotek is hosting a job fair from 12 to 6 p.m., Friday (April 5) at the Holiday Inn Hotel and Suites Columbia-Airport, 110 McSwain Drive, West Columbia.
Jenkins said there will be on-site interviews at the job fair Friday, with some offers made on the spot.
Flex, once called Flextronics, is seeking to fill the following positions:

▪ Shipping/receiving clerks

▪ Setup technicians
▪ Automation technicians
