Lexington County Fire Service and EMS personnel were dispatched to a residential structure fire in the 100 block of Grace Street around 3:30 a.m. Sunday morning.

Upon arrival, heavy flames and smoke were coming from the home. Fire units began immediate fire suppression and extinguishing operations.
One resident was one scene and treated for non life-threatening injuries by LCEMS. No other injuries were reported. In total, 10 fire units with 22 personnel were called, along with the EMS unit.

The home was deemed a total loss by fire officials. The American Red Cross was called to assist the displaced resident. An investigation into the cause is ongoing.
